Disappointed by Employees I Trusted
I was very trusting in my service men using the vehicles for work use only. To find out that I should not have been.
Pulled up the daily driving report on one of my drivers, to find out that they had been using the vehicle for personal use on a daily basis when they were supposed to be working and the gas in these vehicles is paid by the company. One of them had decided to go to a park and was there from 6pm until 1am while he was on call and supposed to be working! Very upsetting to find out as a business owner. Then the same service tech decided that he wasn't going to work one day because he hurt his back a few days prior (the day he was at the park all night), so we let him have the day off. To my astonishment he was out in the vehicle the same day he called in, and again was at the same park as before.
When he was asked about it, he said he was at home, but with the proof of FleetMatics, he was responsible for paying for the personal gas that he used on the company time, as well as reprimanded severely.
