The FleetMatics GPS tracking solution uses satellite technology to provide real time fleet vehicle locations and record historical vehicle activity. In addition, our comprehensive suite of management tools will maximize fleet performance, improve overall efficiency and significantly reduce costs.

GPS Tracking Installation
Our team of highly trained technicians will install a tracking unit in each of your fleet vehicles. There are no exposed wires or antennas on the units, so the equipment is virtually tamper resistant and theft proof.

Once installed, the vehicle tracking unit will begin recording and transmitting via satellite pertinent vehicle information including location, direction, speed, idling, and engine start up and shut down. The unit transmits every 90 seconds to give you up-to-the-minute vehicle location and data.

Monitoring Your Fleet

Once the FleetMatics GPS tracking units have been installed in your vehicles, you can begin to immediately monitor your fleet using a variety of powerful, easy-to-use tracking tools.

The GPS Live Tracking feature allows you to view the exact location of your vehicles in real-time, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Each vehicle is represented on the map, along with a list that gives you the status of each vehicle including speed, start-up and shut-down.

FleetMatics uses Google Maps API Premier to give you unparalleled accuracy and flexibility when monitoring your vehicles. View your fleet using the Google street view, satellite view or the hybrid view. You also receive real-time traffic information to help your drivers avoid congested areas. And with the hyper-zoom tool, you can zoom all the way down to street level for precise tracking.

Another essential feature is the Nearest Vehicle Locator. Simply click on any point on the map and the system will pinpoint the five vehicles closest to that location with exact mileage distance. This will help reduce dispatch times and improve customer service.

With FleetMatics alerts, you will know immediately if a driver deviates from rules you set. For example, if you set a speed threshold at fifty miles per hour and a driver goes over that speed, the system will immediately alert you of the incident so you can take corrective action. Parameters you can set include speed, vehicle activity, idling, and vehicles entering or exiting specified points of interest.

The system also provides maintenance alerts, so you can be sure your vehicles are working at peak performance. Maintenance alerts can be set based on calendar date, mileage or engine on-time.
