Fleet tracking never forgets. How can you use this to your advantage? If your crews are working multiple sites each day and trying to fill out their time/job sheets on the run, there’s a good chance they’re going to forget to mark down their hours worked a few times each week. Or even each day. By the time you notice the discrepancies, they may not have a clear head about where they were and how long they were there. That’s where fleet tracking comes in.
By running a simple report you can see exactly when anyone in your crew arrived at a customer site, how long they were there, and when they left and arrived at the next site. No guessing, no fudging, just accurate hours worked information. Not to mention the fact that since your crews know they’re being monitored by a fleet tracking system you just may see more of an effort from them to get to work sites on time each morning instead of arriving 15 to 20 minutes late or leaving 15 to 20 minutes before actual quitting time to beat traffic.
Plus, if there’s a dispute with a customer you can backup your claims with accurate reporting. Maybe the customer didn’t realize your crew was there or they’re just trying to reduce your bill. In either case, fleet tracking reports show them that they were there and your billing is accurate.
