FleetMatics ‘Customer Connect’ Contest Winners Share Valuable, Cost Saving Experiences From GPS Tracking
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL (August 12, 2011) - FleetMatics, a leading global provider of fleet management solutions for commercial fleet vehicles, announced the winners of their Customer Connect Contest. More than 60 entries were submitted with Paul Childers, of Blair’s Air Conditioning & Heating, taking home first prize for his story on how FleetMatics improved the company’s bottom line.
Second prize was awarded to Dennis Courtney from Office Environments of New England for his story on how FleetMatics GPS tracking software provided proof of innocence on three separate occasions for accident claims brought against the company. Christina and Ben Jordan at Able Plumbing were selected as the third place winners. They described the significant fuel savings they have experienced since implementing the FleetMatics GPS system.
FleetMatics’ New Customer Community Popular Among Users from Day One
FleetMatics’ new Customer Connect page was launched in June 2011 and is designed to give customers an online forum to share their stories on the benefits they are gaining from GPS vehicle tracking, as well as learn about new ways to use the system. FleetMatics customers have complete control over the information shared and have the ability to take advantage of the new information they discover through other customers’ experiences. Stories cover various benefits from fuel savings and reduced speed and idle times to insurance savings and improved customer service.
“We were blown away by the participation,” said Joe Boyle, VP at FleetMatics. “We had 25 incredible and unique stories posted within the first two days, and now over 50! Customers have submitted stories about benefits we never anticipated, which is so helpful to other customers who perhaps haven’t thought of using our software in such a way.”
Customer Connect Contest winners were chosen for the story that best answered the question, “What is the most cost-saving benefit you've discovered since installing FleetMatics on your fleet?” Paul Childers was awarded 5 Garmin units with full FleetMatics technology integration and the second and third place winners received $200 Visa gift cards. A new contest was announced on July 7th, and the winner was selected based on their answer to the following question, “What is the most surprising thing you've discovered since installing FleetMatics on your fleet?”
