We have some customers call us and say that their rubbish wasn't picked up. When we check with the driver and he says he did pick them up (they refill the container), we call the customer back with the time the container was emptied and offer to send them a print out of the driver's route. This immediately ends the conversation and problems of missed pick ups, and saves us the cost of giving extra pick ups for no charge. Also, we get phone calls telling us something fell off the truck and damaged their car. We asked where this happened and find that our vehicle was not in the area at the time specified. This has saved us numerous insurance claims.
