Unlucky Gambler
It was a Friday, which for my Route Sales Managers means they only work a half day dedicated to truck load and maintenance. My top salesman asked if he could use our spare route truck as he had coordinated to buy some battery cores to make some extra commission. After telling me where he planned on going I saw no problem and let him take the truck. As it was getting close to noon I pulled the spare truck up on the FleetMatics tracker just to get an idea of how long it would be before he was back. To my surprise the truck was parked outside of a local casino nowhere close to any of its scheduled stops and by the shutdown timer had been there for just over two hours. To make matters worse I looked at the route replay to see just where he had been and discovered that he had made only one of the scheduled stops. When my salesman returned from his casino safari we had a little discussion. To his surprise, there was a FleetMatics tracker on the spare truck as well as all of our primary trucks. Not only was he unlucky at the casino, he was even unluckier with me.
